Outreach Service providers include health professionals from North West Hospital and Health Service, Specialist from other Hospital and Health Service districts, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS), North West Remote Health (NWRH) and Hearing Australia. We provide a culturally safe specialist respiratory outreach service which includes: lung health checks point-of-care chronic lung disease management. The benefits of delivering specialist outreach health services are many and include increasing patient access to specialist care not available in the remote health facilities, maximising patient health outcomes by providing early diagnosis and treatment of health conditions, and reducing the need, inconvenience and cost for patients to travel from remote locations to access specialist care in Mount Isa, Townsville or other secondary and tertiary healthcare settings across the State. We aim to raise awareness of respiratory diseases through community engagement, lung health promotion, education, partnerships with local health providers, training and research. Questions? Support activities that promote the uptake of existing online educational resources in the school sector. Strategise with the leadership team to promote and coordinate new and existing projects as part of targeted outreach programs. Build relationships within the community, school, and government sectors to extend the reach and ensure high-quality service delivery and impact. Develop, grow, and deliver impactful and targeted education and outreach services and programs. Provide leadership to outreach & education teams 4 direct reports.
